7 string start-up

    Hey, I'm trying to get a budget 7 string bass, and i can't seem to get ahold of groove tools (i work at a local music store). Is there any other options, or am i just going to have to wait and shell out the $5400+ for a true Conklin?

    ... used Conklin GT-7? They do some up from time to time.

    Hello Gramtron--
    I would keep and eye out on eBay or craigslist. They (GT7s) come up from time to time. I found one recently in the Bay Area (CA) for a third of what they cost new.

    You can also go the new route at musiciansfriend.com. They carry to BDGT7 and the GT7.

    Be patient. They are great basses. Well worth the wait.
