Thats way to "refined" to be a Wish.

  4. It sure is ugly enough to be a Wish, though..

  5. I'm speechless.

    thats a crazy bass,

i dont think anyone needs more that 5 strings.

  7. Why not? :meh:

  8. Don't start this again...I'm beggin' you!

The closeup of the bridge and "C" holes was all I needed to confirm the seller's claim of it being a Wishbass. The lack of symmetry and precision is readily apparent in that shot most of all.

It is however, one of the better necks I've seen out of him.

  9. IMO, you're quoting the wrong person.

When I started here, I didn't believe anything over 7-string existed, let alone understand the NEED for that many strings.

Well, lo and behold, i'm looking into ordering an 8-string.

THANK YOU TB FOR PUTTING A HOLE IN MY BANK :spit:

    haha

    Rebar Trussrods!
holy eff that would be hillarious... :D

  15. I could go on and on, but I bet those 'C' holes were only because he mis-guessed the dimensions and couldn't do F holes properly.

    Where's the handle!!!?!??!

  16. Well now, that has to be one of the weirdest things that i've ever seen...:eyebrow:

That just leaves me speechless to be perfectly honest! That's just craziness! That just solidifies why i am never going to get a wishbass.. :ninja:

  17. The bridge is creeping into one of the holes. I can just see it punching through the edge of that hole under the string tension someday.

Why are there people who continue to argue that Wish isn't a lousy luthier? His basses would get him fired if he worked for anyone but himself, some of them are actually dangerous to the player and not a one of them is built with any kind of precision. I could do better with a hacksaw, a dremel tool and a ruler and I've never made anything more complex than a pointed stick out of wood.

Pardon the rant, but I can't respect someone who can't be bothered to use a ruler and a pencil to figure out things like string spacing and pickup placement. There's no excuse for shoddy work like that.
