Thanks to you I am obsessing over Hanewinckels . I have never seen such original, yet not over the top basses. They look amazing. I wish I could try one out. AHHHH!!! I love them, I want one sooooooooo bad. How is the tone? What do they compare to?
Go check one out. Hanewinckel Guitars is in Southern California. If you're seriously interested, I'm sure you can arrange to try one out.
I live in SoCal, where are they located more specifically?
About 30 minutes south of L.A. Just north of Long Beach in Cypress.
He probably has this one available to try out:
JT tried it out at NAMM and really liked it.
If you cant do it on four
what are you playing bass for?
First, who says they can't do it on 4? Second, I just wanted to look at these beauties. I play a fiver. Check out the why 5 or 6 thread.
D@mn, I wouldnt necessarily get a 7 from H, but I would still love to check one out. I should hop on over to Warr also, they are like 15 minutes away from me.
Damn! You're right! Does anybody want to buy a couple of 7 and 6-strings? Octane set me straight. Thanks!
Check this one out:
I dig that wood. Is that yours?
Yep. That's a really nice solid chunk of Zebrawood.
The neck is Wenge with Pau Amarillo laminates. It also has Piezos! It plays and sounds great!
Here's 7-string Bass Viol:
7-string basses like this pre-date the 4-string bass from the violin family. So there!
