    Hello,
I have the amp listed above and it is having an issue. A few months back it would have issues where the sound would cut out after moving. Usually I was able to get the sound back up but after a couple of weeks of this it stopped entirely. The amp would power on, the tubes would get warm, but no sound would come out. Does this sound like a wiring problem? Is there another likely cause? Approximately how much should I expect to get it fixed if it is simply wiring? Thanks for all the help.

You need to give us a little more info and some pictures. Your problem could be anything at this point. If you want people to take the time to look at your amp, take the time to post plenty of high-res photos of inside and outside the amp. If you do that, I'm sure you will get lots of responses.

My '76 B-15S was a little on the fritz. Took it to the local guru, who said that after 30 years some of the solder had gone bad. A hundred bucks later, she was singing.

That sounds like a very plausible answer. Sound "cutting in and out" and eventually going dead does make me think of a bad solder joint or a bad mechanical connection in a plug.

This might just be a good clue...

Tell us exactly what you used to have to do, at the very moment the amp used to start working again?
