    hi there,

does any body know the exact dimensions of a 72' P-Bass neck?
i mean nut width and fretboard radius. also what was the type of finish back then, clear gloss or vintage?

    thanks:hyper:

It will differ depending upon the neck width, A, B or C.

The finish was their standard poly of the era, and glossy. There were no options at the time. the front of the headstock should be finished in nitro, as the decals reacted poorly with poly.

The 'old' Fender Radius is 7.25".

As far as I know all basses of that era follow that spec. It wasn't until the 80's that they moved to 9.5, IIRC.
