    *********SOLD**************

I have a 1973 Fender Precision, refinished probably 20 years ago in black with maple board. I don't have a scale handy but it is very light. I would guess in the 8.5 range.
The pickups are basslines, I dont know about the pots. I do know the tuners, bridge, body, neck and pick gaurd are all original. The serial # on the neckplate is 3924**, which puts it at 1973. There are some nicks here and there (what do you ecpect from a 36 year old bass), but nothing major. There are finish cracks in the paint, and one tuner has a slight bend to it. Plays absolutely beautiful. Sounds amazing. This also has the highly sought after "A" neck profile like the Jazz necks have. Also includes the Fender tweed case with orange lining.
    As for trades, I won't really know untill I see it. So run stuff by me. I am guestimating a price of around $1600 for trades. Plus or minus cash dependant on trades. All basses must be 4 string and fretted. Have something interresting? Run it by me. I have more Precisions than can play at this time. I have interrest in;

    Epifani gear (heads/cabs)
    tube amps
    tube Pre amps
    high end Jazz basses
    Mesa gear
    Warwick dolphins (Pro 1)
    valenti
    Nash
    Phil Jones Pre amps
    Reissue Ampeg B-15
    Markbass F1
    Birdsong Sadhanah
    Etc.................

    1973FenderPrecision005.

    Thanks.

What's the serial number on the neckplate? (And I guess it only matters if the neckplate is original)

3924** Which puts it at mid 1973. I will add this info to the original post.
Thanks, I should have put that there.

    Hope that helps.

Pics are working fine for me.

I've played this one a few times, and it's a hell of a player and it has that classic P Bass punch in spades. Should make someone a very happy camper.

The F1 plus a grand would be a very fair deal. THe F1's ususally bring 500-600 here used. Which is pretty good considering GC is selling them on sale right now for $549 new.

    Thanks.

1966 Gibson EB-2 - sunburst - couple of dings, but relatively clean, and lows that will knock the fillings out of your teeth. Not on your trade list, but worth a shot. I have too many hollowbodys already...

  11. DANG that's nice- much cleaner than my 73(hangs head in faux-shame ). I doubt we could conjur up a sufficiently mutually-beneficial deal but look at my stuff if you have a minute, & let me know if anything tickles you. BTW, I'd gladly kill a small animal or eat tofu for that 1.5" nut. :ninja:

    1. I would like to see picks of the EB2 please.

    2. Man, I wished I played 6 string and fretless, that Stambaugh is gorgeous.

    3. Send me pics of the Rickenbacher. I would like to see everyones options before I pick what I want.

Send me pics of any trades, the worst I can say is no....
    Well, actually....I could say something really mean....but I won't...........................................probably.

I just had a deal worked out but I dont think it's gonna happen. So, she is still available. Hit me up with your trade or cash offers.
I would really love a full Epifani setup. Or a full Phil Jones setup, but hti me up with any amp/$/bass trades.

    All PM's replied to.
I would also be interrested in a Guild Starfire, Sadowsky's, Neck through oil finished 4 strings, Gretsch White Falcon, Ampeg B15 or B12, Birdsong basses, etc........
Some would require a little $ to boot, others may be even trades or would recieve $ to boot.

    Try me.
