One day I want a Sadowsky Bass like so many others here, but not for a while yet.........

I am interested in the preamp/di pedal...I currently play a '75 P-bass with stock electronics through a standard amplifier/speaker combo... nothing fancy at all.. never used effects much...

will this be a useful tool to "improve" my tones????? Is it gearerd toward basses with more passive electronics like P or J basses?

How would it do with a new Fender J bass like the GL(which I have GAS for)
versus a bass like a Lakland skyline or Yamaha trb with active electronics?(also GAS)

Most important is will it make me look cool?(joke)

Your sagelike advice is most welcome

The Sadowsky preamp is a good way to improve your 75-P tone ... I used it with my (gone) '69 Jazz. But this won't set you free from GASsin' for a Sadowsky ... wonder why the '69 is gone? :D

I have 3 Sadowsky's so I no longer use my DI pedal but I still have it. In the past, I ran every bass I used live through it. Fodera's, Pensa's, Vintage Fender's, etc etc etc. Awesome, tight, non mushy bottom. Dont hesitate
