SOLD 78 MM stingray w/ " custom paint FS/FT FEELER

I have a 78 SR that I have own since 79. It was disassembled, re fretted ( in the late 80's), and " custom" painted by my ex father-in-law. All hardware and electronics are bone stock. I took it to a local luthier for a set up and he told me he could get the original headstock decal ( the original was sanded off when I decided to " refinish" the neck myself) and he proceeded to put a Ernie Ball MM decal on ( I have never been back to him since).
I have since taken it to Mark Brown in Campbell, CA ( Mark use to tour with the Doobie Bros. and does outstanding work) and he has set it up to play perfectly. None of my other basses sound like this one. I'm not even sure I want to part with it and I am sure that because of the " mods", it is not as valuable as it would be as a stock piece ( it was originally tobacco burst w/ a black guard, and I lost the guard a long time ago)
So there you have it. Please be aware this is a FEELER add and I am curious to see what kind of offers I get.

Haha! Yeah , I told the ex FIL to use his imagination. He did! This baby sounds incredible. I don't have the original mutes, either
