    Hey guys,
    I'm scrolling through ebay atm in search of a neck to finally finish my build. Stumbled upon this:
    s-l1600.jpg s-l1600 (1).jpg s-l1600 (2).jpg s-l1600 (3).jpg s-l1600 (4).jpg s-l1600 (5).jpg

    seller says it's a US made 1979 Fender P bass neck. here's some info from the sellers page:
    * finish has a HEAVY SUNBURN

    * logo has SHRUNKEN

    * finish was oversprayed, but there is new wear on the left side

    * frets are fine

    * neck is straight

    obviously it's got a veneer fretboard - did they actually make/use these in 79?
    Seller asks €750 for it. Which seems ridiculous and the authenticity seems more than questionable, too. Still, what do you think of it? :)
    Thanks!
    Marek

    I actually came to the conclusion that I will not buy anything from that shop ever. Scrolled through some other listings and found a Musicmaster Bass:

    now look at that...

    and here's what the seller has to say about that headstock:
    * 1979 Music Master USA neck, was CUT DOWN at headstock by Johnny Depp

    alright.
    Maybe we should move this thread to the humor category instead?
