8 string player

I play a Dean Rhapsody 8 string. I like it, but it can be very dominant (almost too dominant) in a band. I only use it for 3 of my band's songs so far.

Mine is transparent black which looks like a darker brown version of the one on this page and IMHO looks better (you can still see all of the Bubinga figuring).
It has great sound (very drone-like and orchestral)
and is relatively easy to play if you play a 4 string as you don't think about the octave strings.

on pearl jam's "jeremy" the bass player uses an 8 or a 12 string.....cool sound

 

Jeremy is on a 12 string, a Hammer I think
