80's japanese precisions

    i got a blue japanese p bass on ebay and i don't know what kind of body wood they used for it, actually i'm not sure if it was made in the 80's either but if it helps the serial # is E777750

    Some were alder, I think, but a lot were also basswood.

    That serial no. puts it between 84 and 87, its almost certainly alder.
    :)

    i was hoping it was alder and not basswood or poplar, theats rather cool
