Hey guys!!! Up for grabs is my 90's Music Man Stingray 4 with the nicest Birdseye neck I have ever seen! I bought it right here on TB and used it for a recording project that went fantastically. Not only does the neck look so great, but the bass sounds killer! It's a 3 Band that has a really smooth tone. I've owned a few Stingray's (including 2 bands) and this one is the best sounding of the lot by far. Here's a link to the previous thread: SOLD - Music Man StingRay 4 OHSC 3band EQ (USA early 90's) BIRDSEYE! I'm only looking to get what out it what I have in. $1050 + actual shipping. I did order a mute kit directly from Music Man (although I didn't end up installing it) and it's included along with the OHSC. If you're in Florida let me know and I'd be happy to meet up. Thanks for looking!!! {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {}
Just over 9lbs. on my bathroom scale in Florida. Of course, Weight = Mass times Gravitational Acceleration (and the weight of an object decreases with altitude), so it will vary depending on your location.
...they weren't cheap on the neck wood. I had a few EBMM SR4 from the '90's and you were getting a lot of bang for your buck. GLWYS!
I can't talk about how great this bass sounds without an audio clip! Here you go (apologies for the sloppy playing): I tried to base the clip around the classic Stingray timbre. The second thing I played is the same line as the first, only with the treble slightly down (how I would personally dial in a sound). I cut the mid range a little for a few phrases and played with a pick during one section.
