Can anyone here help me value this bass ??

I'm pretty active on most of the guitar forums and have been asked to broker this bass for a buddy. My search of completed Ebay auctions shows really nothing like this one. We're not even exactly sure what MODEL this is ??

Apparently from 1991 ( serial #920719 on back of headstock ) - in excellent shape - a one pickup ( not two )..

Can anyone help me ?? Thanks everyone ;)

  2. I will buy it for 5 dollars

Well..thats a big help to me. I sure appreciate your post !!:meh:
  4. i see what you are saying with ebay, i don't see a single one like that, with the pickguard and eveything, how much did you pay for it?

    maybe it's the modulus hammer?
(the precurser to the Flea bass)
if it is, i see those go for about 1500

here is a pic to compare :)

I have a catalog from back then at home; i'll try to get the exact model, but Sonic Hammer sounds right.

thanks guys !! Maybe we're getting somewhere

Danomite - if you COULD check the catalog and lemme know - that'd be awesome !!
  7. could be the M92 or something like that,it was the low end model (if you wanna call it that),like a step below a quantam sweet spot..basic body\finish(alder or poplar?) and top routed (I think)...hence the pickguard, standard chrome hardware..a very nice bass though

I can't help with value. Sorry. But I believe it's a 92. I think the first two digits refer to the year. I know it's that way now and I believe it's always been that way.

    From 1990 up apparently...

M92 ... really nice bass, probably right around the $1000 mark if its in perfect shape. M92s were always a little cheaper than proper Q5s.

Yup, it's an M-92. Here's the slick on it:
