So I just bought one on eBay a few days ago, hasn't arrived yet. She's pretty thrashed, but nothing unfixable, I don't think. She'll make for a good project once the kit is done. Ad said it was a '94 SR400 with passive electronics, no extra model info (EQM, DX, etc)... Anyone know any more? Specifically body material, and whether or not a set of CTS shorts will fit?

    Thanks.

According to catalogs, the body is American maple. Not 100% sure if CTS short shafts would fit but I don't see why not- the body thickness in the cavity area of other similar Ibanez basses I have owned are not particular thick.

Groovy news... It's got a fairly gnasty chip in the back, but I have the maple to replace said chip if need be, and I got a set of CTS's chilling in a box atm... Then paint, but that's easy... Oh also knobs. Definitely knobs...
