It really pains me to do this, but I have a special project coming up in the very near future that I need to fund and it takes priority over some gear I currently have. :crying: That being said, I'm listing my GK/SWR rig for sale. It cured my amp/cab G.A.S.; it's the Mike Tyson of 'punch' and will bite your ear off if you aren't careful. :D

    As JimmyM said,

If this is what you want to do, this is the rig for you. (Sorry JimmyM, I had to use it - this is one of the all-time best comments I've seen on TB!!) With the versatility of the 800rb, I'm sure it will work for many other styles & purposes so non-punchy types will be O.K. too.

Alright, enough blabbering. I have it listed locally for $640 on CL, $290 for the head and $390 for the cab, separately. Originally I bought it from Mikopita here. The CL listing is here. Feel free to look those up and my many other comments/experiences with this rig that I've posted on TB.

Yes, I'm asking more than what I purchased it for, but here's why: when I got it the tweeter was blown, the rat fur had collected large quantities of cat/dog hair, and it needed a good cleaning. It now looks 100% better, has a new HF driver, and I replaced the stock wiring with 12 gauge speaker cable, hard-wired to each speaker. I'm also including a 3' heavy duty speaker cable that runs from the amp to the cab (if you buy both the amp and cabinet). A quick Google search will display some of these older pre-Fender cabs going for $400+, so this is a great buy. The cab is 4 ohms so it's a perfect match for the 800rb - getting the GK 'grind' with this combination is awesome.

I'll upload some pics, but here is the bulk of them on Photobucket.

Send me a PM, or use my contact info on CL to get in touch with me. Feel free to ask any questions if I missed anything.

    Thanks,

    Raz

Shipping the amp is not a problem. Shipping the cab - well, it's 100 lbs, use zip 32217, and that should give you an idea. If I do ship the cab, I'll only be able to put a veneer of cardboard on it and leave the handles/wheels exposed so FedEx or whoever you want me to ship it through can handle the thing.

Cab dimensions are 24x19x37 (assuming an extra inch each way for said cardboard) and I'll get a box ready for the 800rb so I can provide more accurate quotes. I prefer FedEx ground as they have always had the best rates; if you know of a cheaper way I'm good with that.
