'99 Squier Affinity p-bass: what body wood

    I bought one of these on an impulse buy (150$ CAN with a giig bag!). What I really needed was a fretless, but ho well, that thing plays like butter and sounds MEAN. Yeah, I was surprised too.

    But my question is basically the title: what did Squier use for body wood in those years ('99) ? The serial number indicates it's a Chinese made one (CD99....).
  2. Far as I know, Affinity basses have always been made of alder.
