PRICE DROP $1299 For sale (or trade + cash for a Walter Wood$) Sound clip added!

A collaboration between Darryl Jones and Mr. Balgochian, this is the basic body design used later by Lakland for the Darryl Jones sig model. This is an early 2000's build which were then called the Jade bass by Alby. A sweet and beautiful handmade Jazz bass like no other I've played. I purchased from the original owner this past year, this bass spent most of it's time in the Mooradian gig bag in the closet. He called it his '$2600 coat rack'.
The pictures really tell the story. Out of this world top, soft quilt maple with a masterful burst. Alder body, maple neck and rosewood board with pearl dot inlay. All the functional wood on this bass is very tight and straight grained. Alby is a well known bassist who worked with a violin maker for a few years to learn the craft before building these. It really shows in the wood choices and hand feel, esp. the back of the neck. Heavenly naked feel to this neck.:smug:This bass feels like your oldest best jeans, and has a warm clear tone.

Think of this as a used U.S. Lakland Darryl Jones Sig with a special order top for $1000 off. :smug: I actually prefer this to the DJ.
You can pop your Aero's in if you want, and make a profit from selling the Lane Poor's. Perhaps enough to buy the preamp of your choice.

$1000 off? I think you mean $2000. USDJs cost $3000 at best.

    I'm amazed this is here.
