A Bass Joke

Discussion in 'Bass Humor & Gig Stories [BG]' started by Sanctum, Jan 31, 2002.

  1. A boy asks his father if he can take bass lessons. The father agrees, but only if the boy is serious, as it costs a lot of money. The boy assures his father he is serious, so the next week he has his first lesson.

After the lesson the father asks him how it went.
"It was great," the boy says. "I learned all about the big thick string, the E string, and wailed away."
    The father is very happy.

After the second weeks lesson the father asks again how it went, and what the boy learned.
"Oh it was even better! I learned all about the other thick string, the A string, and man can I play it!"
The father smiles feeling he has made a wise investment in his sons future.

The third week rolls around, and the son is a little late returning from practice. The father figures he must have stayed late to learn something extra. When the son arrives, the father asks him how practice was.

"Oh practice," the boy says "I blew that off - I got a gig already!"

Why are 5 string bouble basses usually tune ceadg, and electric 5ers beadg?

Because it confuses the electric bassist if they're not all tuned in fourths.
  7. was that boy in the first jokes name Fieldy by any chance? :D

Yes, yes, it must have been Fieldy! And, what's more, he hasn't learned anything new since!

I have a feeling I'm gonna pay for that one...

If the members of Korn were in the Army, would they all have the rank of Colonel?
