As much as I love the Geddy Lee, the plain white PG just doesn't do it for me....Too many solid colors (the black and the white).

But what do you think of this? Classy I think!

I'm not too crazy about "mother of toilet seat" pickguards in either black or white. But I have to admit it looks good on your bass. Nice combination!

    Cheers,

Very cool! Black pearloid also looks pretty badass on a GL.

  4. Very Nice! Looks cool.

  5. Very classy indeed!!! Really better than with the white one, I love it.
I also love the geddy with a black pickguard.

I have a Black, Black Pearl, Blue Pearl, and Tort for my Geddy and my favorites are the Black Pearl and Tort. That Perloid guard looks nice on yours.

I guess it's the black and white thing for me ...

I've tried a few different coloured pickguards and I have to say that I like the original white the best. But I do like to see a little difference. That's why I put a set of DR Black Beauties on mine.

I love the look of black pearl on black with a maple board. I'm thinking about getting one for my black Lakland DJ5, but am having a hard time rationalizing why I should spend $60 on something purely cosmetic.

    Nice choice.

I like the white pearl guard on the GL. I put a tort pg on my black J (rw board) and I'm digging that too.

I prefer the white pearl, but really, all 3 (including the original plain white) look so inviting. Not to change the subject, but can somebody tell me basically what the deal is with this model bass? I know it has a BadAss bridge, but is the rest of the stuff cosmetic?

  20. It has vintage pickups and a slimmer neck as well as the BAII.
