Hello, everyone. I don't get to spend too much time surfing the internet these days, but I just spent the last half hour perusing this great site. I wanted to thank each and every one of you who have helped to spread the word about my music by citing my name and/or recordings in some of the various posts I have seen up here. It is because of the positive feedback from players like yourselves that I am able to continue to share my music and compositional efforts on a much larger-scale level today. To those of you who have purchased my albums or referred others to my music or articles in the past, I can't thank you enough for your support!!! I will try to tune into this forum more often in the future. It is an awesome resource for bass players. I have just released my 3rd solo album, 'Evidence', and would also like to invite you to check out some of its sound clips on my website if you haven't already. Once again, thanks, and I look forward to corresponding with some of you in the near future! All the best, and happy holidays- Sincerely, Adam Nitti
Please do! An already great place in cyberspace is only made even better with great players in it! /Oysterman - dedicated Talkbass junkie
hi woodchuck! i've been off the road with angie since the end of february. i've been in 'album release' mode since i got back, so i've mostly been in atlanta lately... all is well, though. i hope to see you again sometime in the near future-
hi adam! and welcome to talkbass! it's great to have you here...i've been checking out your site now and again, and i really enjoy listening to your tunes. still can't play skitzo, though ...and i'm looking froward to seeing "evidence" in my stocking from the wifey this xmas. one question for you, though...is the liquid blue still around or are you just playing with beehive now?
Now here is one cat worth listening to. I'm certain that those of us who have "been around" know of Adam's bass prowess, but you fella's that are new to the bass, do you yourselves a favor and put Adam Nitti on your list of "must check out" bassists. Welcome to Talkbass, Adam.
Wow, Adam! Thank you for coming, and welcome to talkbass! From those of us who enjoy either your music, your teaching, or both, we would LOVE to have you stay on board here! By the way, I must say I photocopied your article about left hand/thumb position to hand out to all my friends who have inherently bad technique but wouldn't listen to me about it. Great article, and they're playing better now.
Welcome! if you stay long enough and your schedule is a little open you can ask Paul (or Paul can ask you) to do a "Ask the pro" forum...
neptoon: thanks for the kind words! actually, beehive has been 'disbanded' for quite some time now. i'm still working with the guitar player and drummer occasionally, but my main focus is the 'adam nitti project', which utilizes different musicians on different gigs playing my music. sometimes it is the same players from the 'liquid blue' band. xavierg: your positive feedback is most appreciated!!!! thanks for the referrals!!!!! dave: i will ask paul about the forum possibility. i will be making a guest appearance soon in dann glenn's forum... i'll post as we get closer-
Hey Adam, Glad to see you made it over! Just wanted to let you know I finally got to finish listening to the entire CD, and I've got to say it's killer! Looks like you saved the best for last! I particularily enjoyed part 1 of Broken. Hope you get the spare time to drop in more often! Lisa
lisa- thanks so much! i'm so glad you enjoyed the cd! (spread the word! <javascript:smilie('') starchild- i've got a '72 2002tii and an '85 911 carrera right now... i'd love to get an m car one day, though!!!
I think your Fretting Hand Technique article was one of the best woodshops ever! Many people (including me!) will strengthen their abilities from that excellent lesson!
Adam, By now you may have noticed that Dann Glenn is no longer running his forum here. It's an unfortunate situation that led to his pulling out. You mentioned that you might participate in his forum.... I hope you continue to grace Talkbass in spite of Dann's departure. A forum of your own perhaps? Xavier
Hey, I just heard of you...well....now Anywayz, I checked out your site, and your lesson on Technique... Well, I always love to add new things into my practice time so I'm definatly gonna give it a shot tonight. I think imma check out your music this weekend when I head down to the Mall to stock up on some new cds So when you get that extra 10 bucks from the record company, remember, it was my money Well, thanks for the great site, and welcome to Talk Bass. (From the voice of well....a new guy)
Wow! Hey Adam I like your coloum in Bass Player magazine.Very helpful for us self taught guys. Not real familiar with your work but I will be next time I hit Tower Records! A very merry Christmas to you and yours! Now....about that long hair, son. Usul
ad nauseam- thanks for the compliment!!! glad you dug the article! xavier-paul has mentioned the idea of a forum to me. if i can swing the time involved, i'd love to do it! son of spam-thanks for checking out the site. i'll remember your kind sentiment when the order rolls in!!!! pacman-yup, sam s. is on the new record, too. he plays some saxaphone and flute. nice to see you here. usul-thanks for the kind words. merry christmas to you, too! by the way, if any of you are interested in ordering my cd's, the best place to get them is my website, www.adamnitti.com. i switched from the traditional distribution means in the stores to an internet-only scheme recently, and because of that you probably won't find it in most of the towers, best buys, etc... let me know if you ever have any problems obtaining the music, and i'll personally help you out. thanks again to all of you, and take care- adam
Adam, nice to see you here at TB! Congrats on the new CD - I look forward to hearing it. I'm guessing you'll be at NAMM - hope to see you there. I'll throw in my vote for Adam's music being well worth checking out - Balance is a fine CD. I hope you find the time to host an ask the pros forum, you'd be a great addition to the collective here... also, feel free to chip into any of the stuff in my forum - your perspective would be most welcome (no rules in my room about who answers first or whatever, so pile in and add your considerable experience and wisdom to the stew! ) God Bless Steve www.steve-lawson.co.uk
