I just jammed with a new band im in that does fast prog metal yesterday. Lots of dream theater type stuff. Ive never played stuff that fast and for that long until yesterday. My right hand sorta hurts when streched near my wrist and a little after it towards my hand. Is this a sign of bad technique or just muscle fatigue from playing so hard for the first time?

Impossible to say over the net, but take it easy until it's gone. If the pain persists, see a doc or chiropractor.
Always try to keep your wrists as straight as possible when playing.
