I'm sorry this topic kinda goes into pickups, effects, and not just bass models. But i thought this place would be the best to ask about it.
Anyone's got any idea on how to get a similar tone to this?

I'm sure it's got some beautiful compression to it, too. So if you've got any recommendation on compressors too, it'll be much appreciated.

What do you reckon would be a good go to get close to that sound? Parallel compression to get that hint of squishiness, while retaining them fatty low-mids?

*I'm referring to this specific version of it because i'm almost sure they re-mixed the song for the vid/single. It sounds quite different from the album version.

I know this is a necro thread with no response, but it's a worthwhile question worth pursuing in my opinion. I was able to get a tone like this with a Warmoth build I recently completed. Swamp Ash body with Quilted maple top and Goncalo Alves neck with Bocote Fingerboard. Pickups are Nordy Big Splits. Strings are DR Sunbeams.
