well, my new MIM jazz 4string has a bad case of the noisy pots.

    what do I do?

    how much do pots cost?

where do I find them? a simple google search didn't do very much.

should I ask the repair dude to do it when he setups this bass?

why would active pots be better than passive?

Easy fix, just get some new CTS pots, 250k. You should be able to get em at your local GC or Sam ash. If not then Warmoth or Stew Mac or Bass parts Resource. Probably about $5-10 each. Its an easy fix if you have a soldering iron. Get the good pots ,CTS, that way you won't have to do it again. Heck ,you might as well get a Switchcraft brand jack while your'e at it.
