Can anyone name some decent recordings of Swing/Big Band music for me to try to use as a guide.

I'm looking for things like The Atomic Fireballs/Cherry Poppin' Daddies.

As a background, we're having a Diner gig at our uni soon and I've been asked to play some big 60's bas so girls can be thrown around by their guys and spin and stuff.

I'm trying to find some recording that we can play.

This is why I miss AudioGalaxy.... I never had this problem before.

(Songs in the genre I'm after will probably have the words Jive or Wail or Jump in them somewhere :) )

    Cheers,

    Chris

I guess Brian Setzer Orchestra is something for you.

You might also want to try soulseek in a google search... ;)

Try to find anything from Louie Prima,Louie Jordan, Wynonie Harris, King Curtis, T-bone Walker. Also get a copy of B.B. King's Let The Good Times Roll. It's a tribute CD to Louie Jordan. Also any of the Roomfull of Blues CD's have lots of swingdancable stuff on them.
