hi i have a carlo robelli mid 90s ( i think ) bass and i just joined a band. i currently have a fender frontman guitar practice amp and i think i want a bigger one :D it kinda sux.

anyway i think i want a combo amp and the price range is $500 which would be hard to get a good cabinet and head with. what is my best be to be able to play and be heard but not massive

    considering:
    Hartke Kickback 15
    Peavey TNT 115
    SWR Workingman's 12
    Fender Bassman 100

^^ comments on those and any other suggestions appreciated

  2. Check bassnw.com for some used combos.

all those are good little combos. I'm partial to 12" drivers so the WM12 or the Kickback 12 (if they still make it a 12") would be my choice of what you listed.

new I'd also check out the little Ampeg combos and without fail, the Ashdown stuff (Mag and Electric Blue).

[spam] if you are looking used, I have an Ashdown Mag mon 12-200 (1x12 200watt kickback styled combo) for sale in the classifieds section [/spam]

Welcome to Talkbass! What kind of tunes you gonna be playing?
