No words needed!
Damn!, my "manhood" wouldn't span the first 4 strings of that monstrosity.
Not that I would try mind you.
And to think, Bill Dickens plays a 9.....and does it VERY well.
LOL @ Hambone
and i thought that conklin 7 string was a force to be reckoned with .......
nah, a man's bass consists of 3 or less strings.
Back in my day we didnt have them confarned new age multi-stringed basses, we had 1 string basses, and we had to carve um with our own bare hands, and to get the wood we had to walk 15 miles in the snow, barefoot.
Geezer voice off.
for a second, I thought you were talking about Geezer Butler. Hehe
Thats a GUITARIST'S bass!!!!!!!
a bassist's bass has 4 or 5 strings, and none of them higher than G. Just my bigoted, closed-minded opinion.
Well that 9 stringer i believe has a low F#, so you could then change your opinion of a man's bass to have 4,5, or 6 strings but not higher than G.
this is just like guys buying large cars
so 4 strings for me!
This is for a man with E.T. fingers !
Wow, I feel so inadequate looking at that thing then looking at my bass. I couldn't imagine playing that thing.
You know what they say about guys with huge basses...
They have small...... well you fill in the blank
By those odds those of us with fives and fours must size up pretty well... Where do you fall.
But that is one of the nicest looking insturments i have ever seen.
But it is still no match for the Conlin 7 doubleneck!
I agree with you on that. What's next, a double neck 9 string?! Wait, Bill Conklin's not reading this, is he?
Thats one of the uglyest basses I've seen. Also alot of unnessasary strings. Looks like someone should switch to guitar.
I'm not worried about Bill...I'm worried about JT!
That's a beautiful golden 9-string.
I'm in love...
It's the "Porn for Bassplayers" thread all over again.
Would someone explain to me how it is possible to even play that?
i believe its supposed to be tapped. You dont play it strait ahead like you would on a 4 string, rather, you tap the whole time, or almost. I forget which one, but one of the talkbassers has got one of these types of basses.
