A new bass !!!

  1. Hello folks I'm the new owner of a fantastic Fender Precision !!!!

    I got it with d'addarios Xl's it sounded pretty bad. I restrung it with dean markley blue steel, did the butter trick and wow! I got the tone I always wanted warm an powerful all I can say is wow.

    Here's a picture (not mine but the exact color)


    she's made in mexico but have been upgaded with a stock usa pick-up

    something bout that color headstock doesn't do it for me.. but that wouldn't stop me from buying it :D well if I didn't already have a P-Bass... hope you enjoy it !

    And what is 'the butter trick'? Ive never heard of that before.

    P.S.- I like ur signature, its pretty funny, But im not sure that Double bass players worship Jaco lol.

    you use butter and rub em on the strings to give em a "deader" sound

    I have a MIM p-bass, theyre great. That headstock color is one part i dont like that much. I think it stands out more with certain colors, etc.

    How much did it cost to upgrade the pickups?

    And for some reason, the headstock on my '99 P Standard is darker. I love it!
