This is a 2002 Elrick Gold Standard 7 with wenge neck, maple-board and burl maple top with matching headstock overlay. Incredibly light bass! With the possible exception of the stunning Conklin dragonwood basses, this one is the featherweight king. The 3 band Aguilar pre is warm and punchy, a good match with the Bart J p/u's. I've got a few setup issues to handle, most specifically some wicked, sharp fret edges (temp changes from Chicago to Southern Calif are a bitch this time of year!) and then I'll probably gig with it the weekend of Feb. 14.

Thanks, dude. I've been VERY lucky lately. This one and the Hanewinckel came to me so easily and so "right" it almost seemed fated.
