I want a P-bass sound and feel without going Fender, since 99% of the Fenders I've played recently have been crap.

I really like the look of those old Yamaha Attitude basses, which look like a slicker P-bass.

Any ideas? I dont really wanna go SX or Brice either..

ive only plaid the yamaha attitude billy sheehan on. the best attitude in the series if ya no what i mean. it has crazt tone you sound just like billy. but i dont think thats what your after, try some of the lower end ones they might work.

  3. If you've got the money, I would recommend a Lakland Skyline Bob Glaub sig. It's got all the beauty and tone of a p-bass, but with the renowned Lakland quality control. Wow, I sound like an advertisement. I'm sorry you hate Fender so much.

yep I would say either Lakland or Sadowsky

I get the feeling that Nordstrand could build a pretty sweet sounding and playing P also
