Took a picture of my new Alembic Persuader '87:

    For your eyes only ;)
  2. Very nice bass, what's the top wood? Looks to be Koa, but I can be wrong. I've owned a very early Elan with the Persuader circuit (vol/vol/filter). Very practical, great sounds to be found in there. Enjoy! :)

    Very nice.

Is it a VVT setup or other?

Very sweet man, but get some nicer knobs! I never get how alembic makes such high end stuff, and then throws on the generic plastic knobs.

Bitch'n bass I had a '83 Alembic Spoiler that was the best active bass I have ever owned
  9. Just out of curiosity, did you just purchase this from another TBer? The name escapes me, but he had 2 of the same Alembic Persuader, except one had koa one had a cocobolo top. Is this where you got this particular item?

    Very nice bass, BTW. Congradulations

    I purchased this from M5Yates :)

The wood is Koa, and I'll try to work on getting some cool knobs :D

Wow, that is awesome! I've always had a soft spot for Alembics.

I saw that one on sale recently...
What do you think of it? Ive played Alembics before but they were never in really good condition (bad action, uneven string height relative to pickups, broken electronics, etc)... whats it like? Do we get a review of some sort?

Hey, NICE BASS. Really classy and understated - but isn't it missing a string?
