    What do you think? Kind of a bummer that I am going to use a SX neck and Pick ups. But the cash is low....

    are you going to carve any contours into it? like a hip contour or a forearm contour?

    Yeah, I think so. I will do that with a belt sander. Thanks for the kind words.

  12. I have to vote for the back too especially with the finish!
    Interesting placement of the laminates on the back too.
    It's kinda cool the sides are so completely different, I'll give you points for that.

    The SX neck I have plays like butter, thin, a real nice neck. It does need to be moved with the trus rod about two times a year, I've had a G&L that moved more....;)

    Looks real nice! Your routes also seem pretty clean. The only gripe I'd have is regarding the top, where the paler wood meets the darker one. I woulda wished the paler one to stay paler, to create more of a contrast. The back is awesome tho.

    Thanks Phil, I agree that the light color would, berch should have stayed light, but I wass messing around with some tung oil and this is how it ended up.
