Okay I have a Hartke HA2000 200 watt head. I've had it for about 4 months and I've blown 2 speakers since I've got it. Now to the point. Today at band practices my amp was was soudning realy ****ty. It had a nasty low rumble ( not a good one this was too low and was making my bass harmonize.) and the compression wasn't helping the volume differences between notes. So I shut it off and started to look throught the manual for the head to see what I could do about it and I found the diagram of the back of the amp. I noticed a switch I hadn't seen before and it it said that when it was on it would reduce the realy low frequencies. I was wondering if turning the switch on would help with my speaker problems?
Try it. If you're pushing a lot of lows into a speaker that can't do anything with them that might explain why you're blowing drivers.
