Which frequency sliders do you NEED?

I'm going to add a compact eq pedal to my setup as a tool to adjust for venue acoustics.
It's not my intention to have it as an 'always on' effect but that may change lol.
So I'm interest in which bands you find yourself adjusting the most, cut or boost.

    Why choose? Get a parametric!

I'd agree with Ba55Man1ac. Get something will at least adjustable mids.

You don't say how small compact is but I like the Tech 21 Q/Strip. All around "Swiss Army knife". Four band eq (with the two mid bands variable), hpf, lpf, DI, runs on a battery and sounds great. Mine is always in my gig bag just in case.

  4. My personal preferences are 60hz (thump), 500hz (body) and 2.5k (bite)

I'd very much like one, suggestions?

    That's huge.

That's what I'm looking for, thanks. Do you boost them by much?

  6. I don't use an EQ pedal like that at the moment, it's just a preference but I usually don't like to boost certain frequencies too much

  7. My favorite frequency is 250 Hz (punch) to have on an EQ. I do agree for dealing with room acoustics nothing is more useful than a parametric EQ, for me that is what my amp EQ is for - my pedal board is for making tasty tones.

The Empress ParaEQ is one of the best.
