I have recently been watching a ton of my old heavy metal videos, recorded or purchased from various places, and I have been paying more attention to the instruments.

I see a ton of cool looking basses that look (at least to my newbie eyes) close to a BC Rich Warlock. They are not, of course, but I haven't the faintest idea what they are.

So, any of your guys (and gals) know of Warlock 'clones' that I can search for and see if it's what I am seeing?

    Thanks

I suppose some video listings might help:

Briefly, on Overkill's "Welcome to the gutter" you can see the bass player use it (not the main one in the video, but it looks like part of it was filmed elsewhere)

I believe Poison's bassist used one

Looks closer to the bc rich Widow (currently on their website) than to the warlock I suppose.

I know, I know, long shot right?

One of D.D. Verni's main basses is indeed a B.C. Rich Widow, and if I remember well, it has a chrome finish.

Hondo used to make warlock clones for guitars (called the formula series if im not mistaken)...i dunno if they made a bass warlock clone though.

I knew what the warlock looks like, I want one very much, but I do think the Widow was what I was looking for...I'll go back and watch the vids again and see who's who, that might prove more illuminating than my random memory.

On WASP's 1st video (I wanna be somebody) Blackie Lawless played a black bass...thought it was the warlock, but upon seeing it again I am wrong..this is the bass I had in mind I have seen elsewhere, ideas?
