I´ve just installed a .055 .075 .090 .110 .145 set to my Ibanez BTB705. Is it possible that it would do some harm to the neck of the bass to tune a set as heavy as this to normal BEADG?

    Thanks in advance.

I serioulsy doubt it, i mean its tention not gauge that matters, i doubt that it takes any more tention for that small amount of diffrence.

  3. I've used a GHS Boomers set: .115, .095, .070, .050 on my G&L L2000 for years with only a truss rod adjustment every so often. No problems. I would think that as long as the neck is sound to begin with, you could use what you like at pitch.
