A recommendation

  1. An outlet tester is $3 at Home Depot and goes a long way to explain why your bass and amp hum like crazy at that club but sound fine at home.

    Just so you know.

    Yup. The Smug One speaks the truth. Certainly will help cut out a lot of headaches, that's for sure.
  4. It's also fun to plug it into the outlets at your apartment and realize that you have open grounds all over the place--where your oven and refrigerator are plugged in. :eek: :rolleyes:

    Put a battery tester in your gigbag while you're at it too. A few bucks at Radio Shack for a small one that tests all sizes.
