I just want to thank all the people who have responded to the various threads I started in my attempt to find out information and users' experiences with different equipment I was interested in. I distilled all that input down, made a couple of trips to stores, listened to different stuff, made my decision, and am very happy with the rig I ended up with. Without your input I'm certain the process would have taken a lot longer and the outcome probably would not have been as satisfactory. So THANKS TB-People, big time, for your major assist!
Gator GRR4 Rack Case Demeter VTBP-201S QSC PLX1602 Bergantino HT322 I'm very happy with this setup (I think I said that already). I've posted regarding how the rig sounds and stuff (This is after the initial purchase.) (First post-gig review of system is here.) (BGRA Demeter review is here.) (BGRA Berg review is here.). I just wanted to thank all the people who provided me with invaluable info while I was making the decision. [It may take me awhile to get a pic made.]
Yep TB is a living, thriving community of musicians, not just bass players. Alot of us (not me ) are well educated in their playing and the gear used, and if you get onto the right person, you will be amazed. PS nice rig
lo-freq, I'm with ya here, Bro. I think that I kinda shock some of the retailers that I talk to, since I'm pretty well informed. Thanks to the TB brother/sisterhood. I think that one of the best ways that we can keep this thing going is to get as many people as we can to send Paul the annual bucks for supporting membership. There really is no reason for folks not to do that. bgavin, I didn't know that you were a blond.

There's a girl in that picture??? Darn, it seems whenever there is good amp porn, there is always a person in it cluttering it up. Anyway, the Eden came from Gantbos here on TB. The young lady is Chelsea, who is the bassist for my daughter's band, Aroarah. Link to Aroarah
I totally agree, except I can think of one reason, I have been looking for a regular job for quite a while (it'll be 12 months Aug. 13, 2003) and I'm only gigging one or two days a month for $50 to $70 per gig (a crying shame). My wife just started back to work and it looks like we're going to move back to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area so maybe I can find a job. Once I find a decent job, I definitely am becoming a supporting member, besides, I need one of those cool baseball caps.
Ah bum deal, lo-freq. It's good to hear that your wife has a regular gig. My heart goes out to you as I've been there before and it wasn't pretty. I've been fortunate that I didn't get cut on the last shake-up. I hope the move to Dallas is a good one.
