I like it.
That is butt ugly, IMO.
What a waste of dough.
The guy obviously doesn't know rosewoods from rosebuds but that seems to be a quite righteous bass.
The body is too slim for my taste but I saw/heard someone playing one on SNL once and it sounded great.
I think $2250 is too optimistic for such an unpopular body style on a used bass, though. Including the "Alembic" reference doesn't help his credibility any.
It's not as bad as the one a few weeks ago where someone bolted the bass and guitar necks and bridges to an acoustic guitar, and connected all 3 necks with a bar of some sort! I wonder if that one ever sold!?
Ouch, that's so ugly, it hurts.
i've seen *worse* on e'bay...
but on its own- it looks like butt.
if you had ever visited the store you would be even more disgusted. place gives music stores a bad name.
what a waste of good materials
Of course...if it LOOKS like an Alembic, it must BE an Alembic.
i think I am going to have nightmares about that one. Kinda like the queen V
Already a thread on it
here. Still butt-ugly, though.
Ah, mah man! Please email me about the Glockenklang-Carvin I have for sale.
What about putting it through an amp?
Can't think of much else to do with something like that.
Other than, say, putting it through the shredder, right?
It's not that bad.
It isn't worth >$2k, but I wouldn't mind having one. It looks pretty cool to me.
true, but it was funny!
What's with the body anyways? You could say that's a neck-thru body with bolt-on neck..
I thought that kind of structure was pretty pathetic on a $300 80's Korean POS, but on a $2000 bass..
haha, but you called it like you, and i, saw it.
at what point does innovative become over-rated or plain stupid?
