"Daddy! Daddy! My flowers have started growing in my garden! And here's a sample!" -My 7 y/o daughter, who just handed me a small orange flower, here beside me as I type. Who cares about the Second Amendment. Forget the Persian Gulf. Forget $4 a gallon gasoline. Forget global warming. Right now I have something in my heart no one and nothing can take away from me.
There's nothing like your own child to cheer you up on a bad day. My 2 year old always seems to know when I'm having a bad day...he'll walk right up to me and say "hugs?" and when I hug him, he'll look up and say "kiss"...always puts a smile on my face no matter what.
