I have bought an Ibanez AC Adaptor to power my ODB-3. I need to get a second one for my Bass IQ. I am just a little confused: The guy in the store where I bought the adaptor said it would work with the ODB-3. I wanted to plug it into the BassIQ and noticed that it has "use only 9V DC adapter" written on it.The manual for the ODB-3 says something similar. The adaptor is labled as "Ibanez AC Adaptor" (it is regulated by the way). What's the deal? AC or DC? I know that Boss as well as EBS want me to buy their own adaptors but the Ibanez one is pretty cheap and there is no store I know of where I could buy an EBS or Boss adaptor.
You'll be fine. It's an "AC adapter" because it converts AC to DC. It will actually run both at once (I don't think either draws very much current) if you get a splitter cord.
hey.. i'm using Ibanez Mains adapter too.. works perfectly.. i run 3 pedals simultaniously on it without problems.. if it's 9v and the + and - are hookeg up correctly.. it's no problem.. correctly = + outside , - inside
You shouldnt have a problem with using the adapter for the other pedal. PS I came in here also thinking it was about the band! He decived us all!!
I guess that is what they call "creative thread naming" . Sorry, I just couldn't resist naming my thread like that. Thanks for your answers. Orthanc
