AC Power for Aguilar DB924?

So I've got a bit of free time and I'm considering wiring my Aguilar DB924 outboard pre for AC power. It's part of my rack and I'm getting tired of disconnecting/reconnecting it all the time, not to mention all the 9v batteries I go through.... (The Aguilar runs on two 9v by the way.)

My question is: Is this possible? Is it a bad idea? How can I do it? Are there any good resources any of you know about that would cover something like this?

I have a small 9v/18v switchable phantom power supply that I've been using for a condenser mic; is this a good place to start? It's got XLR outputs... could I possibly put a 1/4" TRS plug on the end of a mic cable to provide power to the preamp?

I'm just getting my electrical feet under me, so talk slow ;)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
