AccuGroove Bill Dickens Signature 3-Way Two 12"s and one 8" front ported with two small bubble tweeters. I got this cab in trade and fixed it up but its too beefy for my purposes. I was in contact with Mark the founder of AccuGroove and he recommended this Eminence Kappa Pro 12A to replace a torn 12" https://usspeaker.com/Eminence Kappa Pro 12A-1.htm And this Italian Faital Pro 8pr155 to replace a blown 8" https://usspeaker.com/faital pro 8pr155-1.htm I also put some nice casters on it. Cab is Speakon only 4 ohms 1000 watts These cabs were originally around $1,700 when they came out. Im asking $900 obo, will ship for extra $175. Its loud and powerful with lots of punchy mid range, great for funk, soul or rock. This one was apparently owned by Polo Jones when he played for Whitney Houston.
this is a great cab. The BD signature top cab was a little more mid forward and aggressively voiced than the Whappo Jr. which may be perceived as smoother and deeper. But this cab is still plenty smooth and deep, it just has a little more tooth, which is what Bill was looking for.
Oh cool! I miss those cabs a lot. every now and again I think about getting back into a whappo or pair of tri112's but at this point, I'm gonna wait and see what happens with gigs in 2021. Glad you still have it and are rockin it!
