If you're looking at this listing then you probably already know what this preamp is all about, but here it goes anyway. This is a filter based onboard preamp. Instead of the traditional cut/boost controls, this utilizes a sweepable high pass filter with a gain control and a sweepable low pass filter with a "resonance" control. The resonance control puts a bump at the selected LPF frequency. It has 3 concentric pots; volume/blend, HPF gain/HPF frequency sweep, LPF resonance boost/LPF frequency sweep. Will include Sadowsky style concentric knobs. I got this preamp here on TB a few years ago for a build that never really materialized. I ended up starting a new build with a builder friend of mine and was super pumped to try this pre in it. Unfortunately, I just couldn't quite jive with it. I could get some cool tones, but they didn't really work for what I needed. I also found this style pre to be really "tweaky". I felt like I always needed to fine tune something. Maybe it was my pickup selection, maybe my pickup placement, but I just couldn't get what I was after out of this pre, so here we are.
Meant to ask if a guy name Scott out of Nashville was your bass build friend. I know a Scott, that we connect ever so often on bass parts. He builds basses.
