Why am I reminded of those "personal alarm" commercials, where an elderly person who has fallen to the floor comments, "I've fallen, and I can't get up!"

[Please note: it is not my intention to be disrespectful to the elderly or to anyone who might need such a product. But, with the cab and head both on their side, it does paint a similar picture in my mind...]

Sorry to hijack the thread, but do you ever have heat issues with your World in a configuration like that? I've been considering getting one but I'm worried that it'll overheat without some space above it.

    ms,

nope, net yet. then again, its more than enough power for the little B2, so i'm not pushing the Acme all that much in the first place. but having all that extra wattage does make for a much more tighter and focused sound.

BUT, if i went with the World 600, i'd be very wary.

I really want one of those B2's.
Can anyone compare a B2 to an eden 212 xlt with respect to volume,
    sound.

    thanks, for the major GAS.

How does the Acmes work with modern old school sounds? How do they behave with the V8? I´ve always thought Acmes where for Jazzers and slappers. Wrong? :eyebrow:
Can they do pop and rock?

The Acmes can do anything you want, as long you have enough power (and/or enough speakers!) to be heard. All they do is make the sound coming out of your power amp louder, with very little colouration. I play everything from jazz and funk to rock and reggae, fretted and fretless, clean and with ooodles of effects.

I'm currently recording a solo album and I'm using an Acme for monitoring whilst going from strumming chords at the top of the neck to playing massive dub at t'other end.

Put clean in and clean comes out. Put dirt in and dirt comes out. Put squelch in and squelch comes out. Put fuzz in and fuzz comes out. Etc etc.

That V8 + Acme B2 setup probably sounds incredible.

You damn V8 owners just love to taunt...

  17. Yes, it's quite spectacular.

    Sorry... :bag:

What a time for my digital camera to take a digger.

As soon as I get a new camera I'll have to take a pic of my Ampeg / B4 rig.
