Howdy folks so I've got 2 questions.

    1. I was curious to hear if anybody knows the flat settings for the Acoustic b600 head? I assume everything at 12 o'clock is not the answer. Maybe I should question Acoustic directly?

    2. I have bought this Crate amp I think around february for pretty cheap. Only hassle with it was that you had to flip the power switch a few times to get it to turn on. That being said, it worked like a charm and has a biamp feature which I was looking forward too. Maybe a week or 2 after I brought this home, and after some inactivity, I went to turn the thing on and I got nothin out of it. Totally dead. This being a hybrid amp, could the tube need replacing or amI lookin at something else hear?

On amp #2, sounds like a faulty switch. One thing about the Bi-amp feature...you need a second poweramp. Its funky how it works. It sends the lows I think thru the Crate and then you get another amp for the highs. the chorus will also work in this bi-amp mode.

yea I figured if i can get this thing up and running i'd have hte crate do the lows with the cutoff at 100hz and my acoustic everything else I suppose. Don't know how i'd hook it up though..

And a faulty switch heh? Would I be able to remedy this myself or should I bring it to a professional do you think?

I would first do a tube swap, but the switch really needs to be addressed, if you haven't had any experience dealing with electronic repair, let a tech deal with it, he/they may have a parts source that you may not have access to ... trying to get parts from Loud for old Crate/Ampeg stuff is somewhat iffy now adays ..... IMHO

this is the response I got from Acoustic about what the flat EQ is for their b600h.

"Thank you for your recent inquiry.

Unfortunately, we cannot send that information. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any other questions or concerns, or if you are not completely satisfied with the service you have received from us today. We appreciate your feedback."

I would see to the switch first. I've not seen the amp so I'm unfamiliar with what switch it has. That said switches tend to be somewhat standard. If it's a toggle then they are available almost anywhere. If it's a rocker it's probably a press fit that can be eased out by working the snaps inside the chassis. Then you'll have to source a replacement of the right size from an electronics supply house. If you feel that this is beyond your abilities a tech is your next step.
