Does anyboby know if the new Acoustic 200 watt head will have the power to push an Ampeg Classic 600 watt 410hlf cabinet ? I am using a Carvin head now and am not that crazy about it. I do love the Ampeg Cab.

All the reviews of the new Acoustic heads have been positive, and you sure can't beat the price. Question is....will 200 watts at 4 ohms be enough for you? If you get it at G.C. they have a good return policy, try it in a live band setting with the Ampeg cab, that'll tell you yea or nay. If it's nay....take it back.
There's a local player who uses a GK 1001 head into either a Ampeg 410 hlf or a Eden 410XLT,(he says the room dictates which he uses). That head sounds very good through either cab.

Yes,200 watts is fine. I play in a Blues band that plays kind of loud but we are not too loud. I think 200 watts will be fine. I just want to make sure there is enough juice in the head to run a 600 watt cab. Thanks

    Should be no problem.
