Discussion in 'Recordings [BG]' started by bb_boy68, Jul 10, 2001.

  1. I've been thinking about buying these two albums. Could u please tell me anything u know about them and if they are worth buying? I was also wondering how the bass was on each. thanks
  2. do you have any 311 albums? if not, buying <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005ABHN/qid=994778920/sr=1-4/ref=sc_m_4/104-4368204-2717536">grassroots</a> is your first priority. from chaos is pretty good, but their first few albums were incredible.

I did a post on the Action Figure Party CD a while ago. Great horn and Rhodes-fueled jams, though more composed than you'd expect. Slightly dirtier and quirkier than Groove Collective or Liquid Soul. The basswork is in the Rocco Prestia III fingerfunk mould, and pretty impressive but not show-offy. Fima Ephron does most of it, but Flea shows up for a guest appearance.
