Who has played them? I have seen a few being sold, but I would like to hear feedback from all of those that have tried, or owned them. I'm just looking for a few things..

    1. How do they compare to their passive counterparts?

    2. How effective are the tone knobs, and tonal differences?

    3. This could still apply to the older models as well, what would be the tonal difference between the maple fretboards, and rosewood ones?

thats all my questions i guess. any help would be super duper!
I did just get a passive Kingston Fretless 5 (see below, ha) and I love it. I am not looking to replace it, just looking to get a fretted Kingston 4 or 5 in Maple fingerboard. And I would just like to know about the new active models.

Hey bud, I have a Kingston 5 coming to me sometime next week, I will be sure to post a full review.

PS, I did a search looking for info myself ;)

I haven't tried the new active models.
I just think this bass lost its personnality at the same time as the pickguard.
