I was considering installing an Active/Passive switch on my Modulus Q6. I know I know why...? Well, out of piece of mind i'd like to know if it's the battery that's dead instead of taking the back off the bass and checking the batteries at shows. Or are there basses like this i should look into. Can this be done to any active bass? Or do you need seperate active and passive pickups?

if the pickups arent active it can be done to any active eq'd bass

    Its a simple mod really

You need a double pull/double throw on/on switch

    It has 6 lugs

    1 2
    3 4
    5 6

1 and 2 are linked together
3 would be from your blend control
4 would be to the volumes hot lug
5 would be the input from the preamp
6 would be the output from the preamp

Or if you need a schematic exactly like this.

im sure this would void any warranty you have from Modulus and you will also have to either get a volume pot with the switch on it, or drill a new hole in your bass, I would opt for the new pot since it can be reversed. You also will need to know your preamp im not sure whats in the Modulus to help on that part.
