Active preamp/Fender Bass

Discussion in 'Pickups & Electronics [BG]' started by Masterbasser71, Jan 5, 2006.

  1. I have very little cavity room in my Fender Precision Bass, and would like to eventually get an EMG BQC system installed. My problem is the limited amount of room inside the Precision Bass cavity, so would adding cavity room make the bass impractical, meaning would the knobs be getting in the way? About four knobs total

  2. Start routing out the body and get a Deluxe P pickguard.
  3. JimmyM

Don't ruin your P bass with active electronics. That defeats the whole purpose of a P bass, which is to be a simple and reliable bass that works without hassle.
